Description
WCED Whitecliffe WME5/HP4016S Heat Pump Consumer Unit with Type B HP RCD & SPD
Compact 5 Way Heat Pump Protection Unit
The WCED Whitecliffe WME5/HP4016S Heat Pump Consumer Unit is a compact, fully integrated solution designed for modern inverter-driven heat pump systems. This 5 way metal enclosure combines a Type B HP RCD, Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD), and a 16A C Curve MCB, delivering complete circuit protection in one unit.
Engineered to meet the demands of high-frequency electrical environments, this unit ensures reliable protection against smooth DC leakage currents and transient voltage surges, making it ideal for compliant and safe heat pump installations.
Advanced Protection for Modern Installations
The integrated Type B HP RCD is specifically designed for heat pump applications, operating effectively at frequencies above 20kHz and featuring a 150mA minimum tripping threshold above 1kHz, reducing nuisance tripping while maintaining accurate fault detection.
The included Type 2 SPD (WSPD140) protects sensitive electrical equipment from transient overvoltages caused by lightning, switching events, and electrical disturbances.
