Tethered or Socketed EV Charger?

A tethered charger such as the Ohme Home Pro has its vehicle charging cable permanently attached. This makes everyday charging quicker, but the selected cable length must suit the driveway and normal parking position.

Before choosing the 5 metre or 8 metre Home Pro, measure the complete cable route between the charger and the vehicle inlet. Allow for walls, gates, paths and changes in parking position.

The socketed Ohme ePod does not include a permanently attached vehicle lead. A separate compatible Type 2 charging cable will therefore normally be required.
