The Hager VME02SPD Type 2 SPD Surge Protection Kit protects your home from sudden voltage spikes. It is made for single-phase TN and TT systems and meets the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671). As a Type 2 SPD, it handles surges up to 40kA. This helps reduce the risk of damage caused by lightning or power switching. It is ideal for use in homes and small businesses.
This Type 2 SPD for Consumer Units module is easy to replace. There’s no need to touch any wiring. A status window shows green when working and red when it needs replacing. Installation is quick. The unit fits onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and suits Hager consumer units. Be sure to tighten all terminals to 3.6Nm, as stated in the manual.
