The EarthFix STORM M20 Cable Gland from SWA provides a fast and secure solution for terminating SWA armoured, non-armoured, SY and CY braided cables. Part of the SWA STORM range, ESTORM20 combines IP68 ingress protection with a fast-fit, shroud-free gland design for professional electrical installations.
The EStorm version includes SWA’s EarthFix earthing solution, providing a more convenient connection method compared with the traditional separate earth tag and locknut arrangement. This helps streamline installation while maintaining an effective cable termination.

IP68 STORM Gland Construction
The STORM gland upper and lower bodies are manufactured from PA66 reinforced with 30% glass fibre, with a brass armour ring and NBR gasket and O-rings. This construction provides secure cable retention and dependable environmental sealing for demanding installations.
The SWA STORM range has been tested in accordance with BS EN 62444 for cable glands used in electrical installations, including tests covering impact resistance, anchorage, electrical performance, ingress protection, operating temperature and reaction to fire.
EarthFix Earthing System
The EarthFix STORM M20 Cable Gland offers an alternative to the traditional earth tag and locknut arrangement. SWA identifies EStorm packs as incorporating EarthFix to provide a more convenient earthing connection method, making ESTORM20 a practical option where faster installation and effective armour earthing are required.
