Timeguard DS4 Pneumatic Time Delay Switch
The Timeguard DS4 Pneumatic Time Delay Switch provides simple and reliable timed control of lighting circuits. Pressing the pneumatic button switches the connected lighting on for a user-adjustable period between approximately 10 seconds and 10 minutes before automatically switching it off.
Designed to replace a conventional single-gang wall switch, the DS4 uses a 2-wire connection and does not require a neutral conductor at the switch position. This makes it particularly useful for staircases, corridors, communal areas and other locations where lighting only needs to remain on temporarily.

Adjustable 10 Second to 10 Minute Timer
The Timeguard DS4 Pneumatic Time Delay Switch can be adjusted to keep the connected lighting switched on for approximately 10 seconds through to 10 minutes. The delay is set using the timing screw located on the rear of the switch.
Turning the timing screw clockwise increases the operating time, while turning it anti-clockwise reduces the delay. Once adjusted, the setting can be secured using the locking nut.
2-Wire No-Neutral Installation
The DS4 is designed for use on a 2-wire lighting circuit, meaning a neutral connection is not required at the switch position. It can therefore be used in many existing installations as a replacement for a standard single-gang light switch.
Multiple switching positions are also possible. Up to three DS4 units can be connected in parallel to operate the same lighting load.

Important Installation Information
The DS4 is suitable for flush-mounted wall boxes or surface-mounted pattress boxes. The manufacturer’s instructions specify a minimum back box depth of 20mm. Where metal back boxes are used, they must be correctly earthed.
Note: The DS4 is not suitable for discharge lighting. The manufacturer recommends installation by a suitably qualified electrician in accordance with current wiring and Building Regulations.
