Description

High-Capacity Type A RCBO with Curve C Tripping for Live Electrical TPN Boards

The Live Electrical 10kA RCBO 40A Curve C Type A 30mA 1P+N is a high-capacity protective device combining residual current and overcurrent protection. Built for use in Live Electrical TPN distribution boards, it protects against overloads, short circuits, and earth leakage—including pulsed DC faults.

This RCBO is designed for demanding environments where moderate inrush and high-current loads are present. It complies with BS EN 61009-1 and supports modern circuit safety standards.

Tripping Performance and Applications

With a Curve C tripping profile, the RCBO tolerates inrush currents up to 5–10× its rated current. This makes it suitable for final circuits supplying equipment such as HVAC units, commercial machinery, or motor-driven systems.

The 30mA residual sensitivity (Type A) ensures effective disconnection during earth fault conditions involving both AC and pulsed DC leakage.

Configuration and System Integration

This RCBO is configured as 1P+N, ensuring full disconnection of both phase and neutral conductors. It fits standard DIN rails and occupies one module width, allowing easy integration into Live Electrical TPN boards.

With a terminal capacity up to 16mm², it accommodates standard circuit cabling for higher-load circuits.
