GARO DTPN24 7 Way 3 Phase Distribution Board – 125A Main Switch and Type 2 SPD
The GARO DTPN24 7 Way 3 Phase Distribution Board is a surface-mounted TPN distribution board designed for 230/400V electrical installations. With a nominal capacity of eight three-phase ways, this model provides a practical balance between outgoing circuit capacity and enclosure size for commercial and industrial electrical distribution.
GARO supplies the DTPN24 with a 125A four-pole main switch and factory-fitted Type 2 surge protection. The dedicated MCB protecting the SPD occupies one complete three-phase way, leaving 7 usable three-phase outgoing ways, equivalent to 21 single-phase module positions. These figures account for the protection already fitted inside the nominal 8-way (24 single-phase way) enclosure.
Key Features
- Usable three-phase capacity: 7 outgoing ways after allowing for the SPD protective MCB.
- Nominal capacity: 8 three-phase ways / 24 single-phase ways.
- Single-phase module equivalents: 21 remaining positions, depending on the widths of selected protective devices.
- Surge protection: factory-fitted Type 2 SPD with dedicated protective MCB.
- Main switch: 125A four-pole switch fitted as standard.
- Enclosure: surface-mounted steel construction with IP20 ingress protection and IK05 impact rating.
- Dimensions: 460mm wide × 783mm high × 130mm deep.
- Outgoing protection: compatible GARO MCBs, RCBOs and AFDDs can be selected separately.
- Main switch upgrade: compatible with optional 250A four-pole main switch upgrade kit (not included).
How Many Ways Are Available?
The GARO DTPN24 7 Way 3 Phase Distribution Board is specified by the manufacturer as an 8-way three-phase distribution board, equivalent to 24 single-phase ways. However, the factory-installed MCB protecting the Type 2 SPD occupies the space of one three-pole outgoing device.
As supplied, the board therefore offers 7 usable three-phase ways (21 single-phase module equivalents) for additional outgoing circuits. The actual number of circuits depends on the pole configuration and module widths of the selected MCBs, RCBOs and AFDDs.

Selecting Outgoing Protection
The GARO DTPN24 7 Way 3 Phase Distribution Board accommodates compatible MCBs, RCBOs and AFDDs, allowing electricians to configure outgoing protection according to installation requirements. The factory-fitted protective MCB is dedicated to the surge protection device and cannot be used for another outgoing circuit.
