The Timeguard TX2525 25A Type A Bi-Directional RCBO is a single-module residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection, designed for modern electrical installations where power may flow in both directions, such as systems incorporating photovoltaic generation or battery storage.
Rated at 25A with a Type A residual current characteristic and 30mA sensitivity, this RCBO provides protection against AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The B curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for domestic and light commercial circuits with low to moderate inrush currents, supporting reliable circuit protection and discrimination.
The device features a 1P+N (single pole with switched neutral) design in a single-module width, allowing high circuit density within consumer units. It mounts onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and can be removed without disturbing the busbar, simplifying installation, inspection and future maintenance.
With a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the RCBO includes a test button for routine functional testing and a clear contact position indicator for visual status confirmation. It complies with BS EN 61009-1 and is intended for bi-directional applications in accordance with current wiring regulations.
