The Timeguard TX2432 32A Type A RCBO B Curve is a single-module, uni-directional residual current circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent protection, intended for installation within Timeguard consumer units and compatible distribution boards. It provides effective protection against overload, short-circuit and earth leakage faults on individual final circuits in domestic electrical installations.
Rated at 32A with a Type A residual current characteristic and 30mA sensitivity, this RCBO protects against AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The B curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for high-load socket circuits and other applications with low inrush current demands, supporting reliable operation and proper circuit discrimination.
The device incorporates a compact 1P+N (single pole with switched neutral) design within a single-module width, allowing greater circuit density inside consumer units. It mounts securely onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and can be removed without disturbing the busbar, simplifying installation, inspection and ongoing maintenance.
With a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the TX2432 includes a built-in test button for routine functional testing and a clear contact position indicator for immediate visual status confirmation. It complies with BS EN 61009-1 and is designed for uni-directional domestic applications in line with current UK wiring regulations.
