Timeguard TX2420 20A Type A RCBO B Curve
The Timeguard TX2420 20A Type A RCBO B Curve is a single-module, uni-directional residual current circuit breaker with integrated overcurrent protection, designed for installation in Timeguard consumer units and compatible distribution boards. It provides combined protection against overload, short-circuit and earth leakage faults for individual final circuits in domestic installations.
Rated at 20A with a Type A residual current characteristic and 30mA sensitivity, this RCBO offers protection against AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The B curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for socket circuits and other low inrush current applications, ensuring stable operation and effective discrimination.
The unit features a compact 1P+N (single pole with switched neutral) configuration in a single-module width, supporting higher circuit density within consumer units. It mounts onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and can be removed without disturbing the busbar, simplifying installation, inspection and future upgrades.
With a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the TX2420 includes a test button for routine functional testing and a clear contact position indicator for easy visual status checks. It complies with BS EN 61009-1 and is intended for uni-directional domestic applications in accordance with current UK wiring regulations.
