The Timeguard TX2416 16A Type A RCBO B Curve is a single-module, uni-directional residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection, designed for use in Timeguard consumer units and compatible distribution boards. It provides combined overload, short-circuit and residual current protection for individual final circuits in domestic installations.
Rated at 16A with a Type A residual current characteristic and 30mA sensitivity, this RCBO protects against AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The B curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for lighting circuits and general-purpose socket circuits with low inrush currents, ensuring dependable operation and effective circuit discrimination.
The device features a 1P+N (single pole with switched neutral) configuration within a single-module width, allowing high circuit density inside consumer units. It mounts securely onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and can be removed without disturbing the busbar, simplifying installation, inspection and future maintenance.
With a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the TX2416 includes an integrated test button for functional testing and a clear contact position indicator for visual status confirmation. It complies with BS EN 61009-1 and is intended for uni-directional domestic applications in line with current UK wiring regulations.
