Integral ILDLFR70D046 Evofire 85 Antique Brass IP65 GU10 Downlight with Insulation Guard
The Integral ILDLFR70D046 is an antique brass fire-rated GU10 downlight from the Evofire 85 range, designed for recessed lighting installations where a traditional metallic finish and built-in insulation protection are required. Its 85mm round bezel, 70mm ceiling cut-out and IP65-rated front make it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial interiors.
Unlike the standard Evofire models without insulation protection, the Integral ILDLFR70D046 incorporates an integrated insulation guard. This allows suitable loft insulation to be installed above the fitting in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, making it particularly useful for insulated ceilings, home renovations and loft conversions.
Antique Brass Finish for Traditional Interiors
The antique brass powder-coated finish gives this Evofire downlight a warm, understated appearance that complements period properties, traditional interiors and rooms featuring aged brass accessories.
Its subtle metallic tone works particularly well alongside antique brass switches, decorative handles, light fittings and other heritage-style hardware.
Despite its decorative finish, the downlight retains the Evofire range’s ultra-slim 1mm blend-in bezel, providing a neat appearance against the ceiling.
Built-In Insulation Guard for Insulated Ceilings
A key feature of the Integral ILDLFR70D046 is its factory-integrated insulation guard, designed to accommodate suitable loft insulation while maintaining airflow around the GU10 LED lamp.
The guard is included with the fitting, removing the need to purchase a separate insulation protection accessory.
- Integrated insulation guard supplied as standard
- Designed for suitable insulated ceiling installations
- Allows compatible loft insulation to be laid over the fitting
- Maintains ventilation around the GU10 lamp
- Useful for loft conversions and home extensions
The overall fitting depth is 83mm, including the insulation guard. Always follow Integral LED’s installation instructions regarding suitable insulation materials, lamp wattage and required clearances.
Canless Fire-Rated Evofire Technology
The Evofire range uses intumescent fire protection rather than enclosing the lamp inside a conventional bulky metal canister.
The ILDLFR70D046 provides 30, 60 and 90-minute fire resistance in specified ceiling constructions, tested in accordance with BS 476 Part 21:1987.
Its pressed steel and glass construction combines durability with fire protection, while the open design promotes improved ventilation around the LED lamp.
The applicable fire rating depends on the tested ceiling construction and correct installation.
IP65 Front Protection for Bathrooms and Kitchens
The Integral Evofire antique brass downlight features IP65 protection at the exposed front, providing resistance to dust ingress and water jets when correctly installed.
This makes it suitable for appropriately specified bathroom locations, kitchens and utility rooms where moisture protection is required.
The recessed side is IP20 rated. Always check the applicable bathroom zones and electrical installation requirements before fitting.
Improved Cooling for GU10 LED Lamps
Traditional enclosed fire-rated downlights can restrict airflow around the LED lamp. Evofire’s innovative design allows heat to dissipate more effectively.
Integral LED states that compatible lamps installed in Evofire fittings can operate up to 10°C cooler than in conventional can-style fire-rated downlights.
Improved ventilation can help reduce thermal stress on LED components and support longer lamp life.
Compatible GU10 LED Lamps
The Integral ILDLFR70D046 is supplied with a GU10 lamp holder, but the LED lamp is sold separately. Choose the preferred brightness, colour temperature and dimming characteristics to suit your installation.

83mm Depth – Important Installation Considerations
The Integral ILDLFR70D046 has an 83mm overall depth due to its integrated insulation guard. Installers should check the available ceiling void before ordering, particularly where joists, cables or pipework may restrict clearance.
For projects where an insulation guard is not required, the Integral Evofire range also includes the ILDLFR70D045 antique brass model without an integrated guard.
Optional Antique Brass Downlight Adapter Ring
For larger existing ceiling openings, the Integral ILDLFR70D049 Antique Brass Downlight Adapter Ring is designed for selected compatible round Evofire downlights.
It provides a matching antique brass finish and can accommodate suitable ceiling cut-outs between 70mm and 100mm. Always check compatibility with the selected fitting before ordering.
