Integral ILDLFR70D045 Evofire 85 Antique Brass IP65 Fire Rated GU10 Downlight
The Integral ILDLFR70D045 Evofire 85 is an antique brass fire-rated GU10 downlight with a slimline 1mm bezel, shallow 39mm construction and IP65 front protection. Designed for a 70mm ceiling cut-out, this fixed recessed fitting offers a decorative lighting solution for both traditional properties and contemporary interiors.
Its warm antique brass finish complements period-style switches, door furniture and decorative lighting accessories. The Integral ILDLFR70D045 also features Evofire’s patented canless fire-rated technology, allowing improved airflow around compatible GU10 LED lamps without the bulk of a conventional enclosed downlight.
Antique Brass Finish for Traditional and Period Properties
The powder-coated antique brass bezel offers a warm, aged metallic appearance that works particularly well in period homes, traditional kitchens, hallways and heritage-inspired interiors.
Unlike highly reflective polished chrome fittings, antique brass provides a more understated decorative finish. It can be paired with matching brass electrical accessories, cabinet handles and other interior details to create a coordinated lighting scheme.
The ultra-thin 1mm blend-in bezel helps the downlight sit discreetly against the ceiling, maintaining a clean appearance despite its decorative finish.
Shallow 39mm Depth for Restricted Ceiling Spaces
A major advantage of the Integral ILDLFR70D045 is its compact 39mm fitting depth. Its canless construction makes it particularly useful where conventional enclosed fire-rated downlights may be difficult to accommodate.
The fitting is designed for a 70mm ceiling opening and has an overall diameter of 85mm, making it suitable for both new installations and compatible replacement projects.
- Shallow 39mm fitting depth
- 70mm ceiling cut-out
- 85mm overall diameter
- Ultra-slim 1mm bezel
- Fixed recessed design
Installers must still allow sufficient space for the lamp, cable connections and ventilation in accordance with Integral LED’s installation instructions.
Canless Fire-Rated Evofire Technology
Unlike traditional fire-rated downlights that enclose the LED lamp inside a large metal canister, the Integral Evofire range uses an intumescent fire protection system within a fully open design.
The ILDLFR70D045 is tested for 30, 60 and 90-minute fire resistance in specified ceiling constructions in accordance with BS 476 Part 21:1987.
This innovative construction combines fire protection with improved ventilation around the LED lamp. The applicable fire rating depends on the tested ceiling construction and correct installation.
Improved Airflow and LED Lamp Cooling
The Evofire open-back construction helps dissipate heat generated by compatible GU10 LED lamps. Compared with conventional enclosed fire-rated downlights, this design reduces the likelihood of heat accumulating around the lamp.
Integral LED reports that lamps installed in Evofire fittings can operate up to 10°C cooler than in typical can-style fire-rated downlights.
Lower operating temperatures can support lamp reliability and help extend the working life of compatible LED lamps.
IP65 Front Protection for Bathrooms and Kitchens
The Integral ILDLFR70D045 features IP65 protection at the exposed front, providing resistance against dust ingress and water jets when correctly installed.
This makes it suitable for appropriately specified bathroom locations, kitchens and utility rooms where a moisture-resistant downlight is required.
The recessed side is rated IP20. Installation must comply with the relevant bathroom-zone requirements, wiring regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
Compatible GU10 LED Lamps
The Integral ILDLFR70D045 is supplied with a GU10 lamp holder, allowing the LED lamp to be selected separately. Choose the colour temperature and dimming characteristics that best suit your room and lighting requirements.

The Integral ILDLFR70D049 Antique Brass Downlight Adapter Ring is designed for selected compatible round Evofire downlights and accommodates ceiling openings between 70mm and 100mm.
With its matching antique brass finish and 110mm outer diameter, this optional adapter may help conceal suitably sized oversized ceiling openings during refurbishment work.
