The WCED WHR132B-030 32A Type B HP Heat Pump RCBO delivers 30mA residual protection, smooth DC fault detection and 10kA breaking capacity, with a single-module design suited to modern inverter heat pump circuits.

32A Type B HP Heat Pump RCBO

The 32A Type B HP Heat Pump RCBO from WCED is a high-performance protective device developed for modern heat pump circuits using inverter and variable-speed technology. WHR132B-030 combines 32A B Curve overcurrent protection with 30mA Type B HP residual-current protection in a single-module 1P+N format.

Its specialist design addresses both smooth DC fault currents and the high-frequency residual currents associated with contemporary heat pump electronics. The device is engineered for operation at frequencies above 20kHz while providing a 10kA breaking capacity.

Purpose-Built Protection for Heat Pump Installations

The WHR132B-030 goes beyond standard low-frequency residual-current protection. It can detect smooth DC residual currents and is designed to manage high-frequency leakage characteristics, with a minimum tripping threshold of 150mA for frequencies above 1kHz.

Add Heat Pump Protection Within a Suitable Consumer Unit

The compact 18mm design is particularly valuable when upgrading a distribution board. Where the existing consumer unit has appropriate spare space, capacity and compatible equipment, the WHR132B-030 may be installed alongside existing protective devices instead of automatically needing a separate dedicated heat pump consumer unit.

Standard busbar compatibility helps make this a practical choice for installations where specialist Type B HP protection needs to be added while preserving consumer unit space.
