20A Type B HP Heat Pump RCBO
The 20A Type B HP Heat Pump RCBO from WCED provides dedicated protection for heat pump circuits using inverter and variable-speed technology. The WHR120B-030 combines a 20A B Curve circuit breaker with Type B HP residual-current protection, all within a space-saving single-module device.
Heat pump electronics can introduce smooth DC and high-frequency residual currents that require suitable protective equipment. WCED developed the WHR series to operate in these demanding conditions, with high-frequency performance above 20kHz.
Designed for Modern Inverter Heat Pumps
The WHR120B-030 detects smooth DC residual currents while also providing 30mA protection at conventional operating frequencies. Its Type B HP characteristics make it particularly suited to heat pump systems where conventional residual-current devices may not provide the same high-frequency performance.

Flexible Option for Consumer Unit Upgrades
Because the WHR120B-030 occupies only a single module and is designed for use with standard busbar arrangements, it can offer a practical route to adding specialist heat pump protection within a suitable existing consumer unit.
Where the board has sufficient space, capacity and compatible equipment, this can avoid automatically installing a completely separate heat pump distribution board simply to accommodate the protective device.
