1200mm Threaded Earth Rod
Threaded Earth Rod QEP5812T from Unicrimp Q-Crimp is a 1200mm long, 5/8″ diameter copper bonded rod designed for electrical earthing installations. Manufactured around a high tensile steel core, it combines mechanical strength with a molecular bonded copper coating to provide a durable solution for establishing an earth connection.
The rod measures 14.2mm in diameter and is threaded at both ends. Each threaded section is 30mm long, allowing compatible rods to be joined together when additional depth is required. To connect multiple rods, the Unicrimp QEP58TC earth rod coupler is required.
Copper Bonded Steel Construction
The QEP5812T is manufactured from low carbon, high tensile strength steel with a minimum tensile strength of 600N/mm2. The steel core is coated with molecular bonded 99.9% pure electrolytic copper with a coating thickness greater than 25 microns.
This construction provides the strength of a steel core together with a copper outer surface, making the rod suitable for use as part of a permanent electrical earthing installation.
Threaded Earth Rod Extension
Both ends of the rod feature 30mm threaded sections. Where a deeper earth electrode installation is required, additional QEP5812T rods can be joined using the QEP58TC coupler. This provides a practical way of extending the overall rod length without changing the rod diameter.

Important Installation Information
The QEP58TC coupler is required when joining two or more compatible earth rods together. The QEP5812T is not suitable for lightning protection applications.
