20A C Curve Circuit Protection
The WRB120C-030 provides 20A overcurrent protection with a C Curve characteristic. C Curve devices are commonly considered for circuits with moderate inrush currents, provided the installation meets the applicable fault protection and disconnection requirements.
By combining miniature circuit breaker and residual current protection functions, the RCBO allows an individual circuit to be protected independently, helping maintain service to unaffected circuits when a fault occurs.
Bi-Directional Operation for PV and EV Applications
The WCED WRB120C-030 Bi-Directional RCBO belongs to the manufacturer’s WRB1 range, designed for bi-directional use in photovoltaic and electric vehicle systems.
This capability allows the device to be considered where circuit power flow may change direction. Correct device selection is essential, particularly where the installation includes inverter equipment, EV charging controls or additional DC residual current protection requirements.
The manufacturer’s specified connection arrangement and terminal markings must be followed. The WRB1 technical datasheet specifies bottom connection.
Type A High-Immunity Residual Current Detection
Unlike a conventional Type AC device, this Type A RCBO responds to both sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual fault currents. It is therefore suitable for consideration in a wider range of electrical installations containing modern electronic equipment.
The 30mA residual current sensitivity provides additional protection against electric shock when correctly installed. The high-immunity specification is part of the manufacturer’s WRB1 range design.
Switched Live and Neutral
The WRB120C-030 features a 1P+N configuration with switched live and neutral. This means both conductors are disconnected when the device operates, supporting circuit isolation and inspection procedures.
This arrangement can also make certain insulation resistance testing tasks more convenient, depending on the selected test method and the equipment connected to the circuit.
Compact Single-Module Construction
The single-module housing occupies approximately 18mm of DIN rail space, making the WRB120C-030 suitable for compatible compact consumer units and distribution equipment.
Bi-connect terminals accommodate the manufacturer’s specified cable and busbar arrangements, including compatible pin-type and fork/U-type connections. The specified terminal tightening torque is 2.5Nm.
