20A PV AC Consumer Unit
The Live Electrical LSMC1032-R20 20A PV AC Consumer Unit is a purpose-built metal distribution board for the AC side of photovoltaic installations. It combines circuit protection, surge protection, energy metering, main switching and local AC isolation within one robust steel enclosure.
Designed as a complete PV AC protection solution, the LSMC1032-R20 is supplied with a 20A Type A bidirectional RCBO, 100A double-pole main switch, SP140 Type 2 surge protective device, MLCD61 single-phase energy meter and a 32A AC isolation switch.
20A Type A Bidirectional RCBO
The LSMC1032-R20 is fitted with the Live Electrical AMR120B-030 RCBO. This 20A device provides Type A residual current protection with a 30mA sensitivity, B curve tripping characteristic and 6kA breaking capacity.
The RCBO is 1P+N with switched neutral and features a bidirectional incoming arrangement, making it suitable for modern electrical installations where current flow may occur in either direction.
100A Double-Pole Main Switch
A Live Electrical MS2100D 100A double-pole main switch is included within the board, providing a clearly defined main switching point for the installation.
The main switch is rated at 230V AC and accepts conductors up to 50mm².
SP140 Type 2 Surge Protection
The 20A PV AC Consumer Unit incorporates a Live Electrical SP140 1P+N/1 Type 2 surge protective device.
The SPD has a nominal discharge current of 20kA and maximum discharge current of 40kA, with a maximum continuous operating voltage of 275V AC and a voltage protection level of 1.5kV.
MLCD61 Single-Phase Energy Meter
The integrated Live Electrical MLCD61 energy meter provides local measurement of electrical energy passing through the PV AC circuit.
The meter operates at 230V AC, 50/60Hz and has a maximum current rating of 45A. Its 6+1 digit LCD display provides an easy-to-read kWh indication and the unit mounts directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail.
32A AC Isolation Switch
The board also includes the Live Electrical IS332DBR 32A AC isolation switch, providing a dedicated local means of isolating the PV AC circuit.
The isolator has an 800V rated insulation voltage, 8kV impulse withstand voltage and accepts conductors from 1.5mm² to 10mm².
Robust IP40 Metal Enclosure
The enclosure is manufactured from robust steel and finished in white RAL9010 polyester powder coating. It has a fully enclosed metal body with a drop-down metal lid and an IP40 degree of protection.
Multiple cable-entry knockouts are provided, including 25mm and 32mm knockouts on the top and bottom, 32mm entries on the sides and rear, plus larger rear cable-entry slots.
A raised DIN rail improves cable routing, while the enclosure is supplied with neutral cable, busbar, neutral and earth terminals, DIN rail and cable gland.
