Timeguard TT1002 HobGuard 2 Gang 40A Hob Timer Switch
The Timeguard TT1002 HobGuard 2 Gang 40A Hob Timer Switch provides an additional level of safety for electric hobs, ovens and cookers by limiting how long the connected appliance can remain switched on. Rated at 40A resistive, the TT1002 automatically disconnects the load when the selected run time expires, helping reduce the risk of a hob being accidentally left on.
Designed in a double-size format with a clean white glass front, the Timeguard HobGuard combines straightforward operation with selectable Fixed and Switch operating modes. It is particularly suitable for homes, rental properties, student accommodation and other installations where additional control over cooking appliances is required.
Automatic Hob and Cooker Shut-Off
The HobGuard timer starts a timed operating period when activated and automatically switches the connected load off when the countdown reaches zero. LED indicators provide a clear visual indication of power, load status and remaining operating time.
The installer can select from six maximum run times of 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 or 120 minutes. The factory default setting is 45 minutes.
Fixed and Switch Operating Modes
The TT1002 can be configured by the installer to operate in either Fixed Mode or Switch Mode.
- Fixed Mode: the appliance operates for the preset run time and the user cannot alter the duration during normal operation.
- Switch Mode: the user can select the required operating period using the front controls before or during use.
Once the selected period expires, the connected hob or cooker is automatically switched off. This makes the Timeguard TT1002 HobGuard 2 Gang 40A Hob Timer Switch useful where appliances may otherwise be unintentionally left operating.

Installation
The HobGuard must be supplied through a suitably rated double pole isolator located close to the unit. A minimum 47mm deep wall box is required. Installation must be carried out in accordance with the current edition of BS 7671 and applicable Building Regulations.
