The WCED WME12/HPRC40C Heat Pump Consumer Unit is a dedicated circuit protection solution designed for modern inverter-driven heat pump installations. Supplied in a robust metal 12-module enclosure, this unit provides comprehensive protection in a single, installer-ready assembly while offering additional capacity for future expansion.
The consumer unit is factory configured with Type 2 surge protection (SPD), a 40A Type B HP RCD, a 16A Curve B MCB, and 2 × 16A RCBOs, delivering protection against overcurrent, residual current, smooth DC fault currents, and transient overvoltage events. The inclusion of a Type B HP RCD ensures reliable operation with high-frequency and DC residual currents commonly generated by inverter-driven heat pumps. The additional 4 spare modules provide flexibility for future circuit additions or system upgrades.
