The Timeguard TX1110 7 Way SPD Consumer Unit forms part of Timeguard’s latest circuit protection range and provides a robust, installer-friendly solution for modern electrical installations. It is supplied factory assembled with a 100A double-pole main switch and a Type 2 surge protection device (SPD), supporting compliance with current wiring regulations and installation best practice.
This consumer unit provides 7 usable ways, calculated after allowing for the main switch and SPD, and is designed for RCBO or AFDD/RCBO protection on each outgoing circuit. This configuration allows each circuit to be protected individually, helping to reduce nuisance tripping, improve fault discrimination and simplify fault finding compared with traditional shared RCD arrangements.
The 100A main switch is positioned on the left-hand side of the enclosure, following Timeguard’s standard layout and providing a familiar wiring orientation for installers.
Housed in a robust surface-mounted steel enclosure with a curved, lockable visor, the unit features multiple cable entry knockouts on the top, bottom, sides and rear, with supplied grommets to protect incoming cables. A raised removable DIN rail allows cables to pass underneath, while the floating busbar and full-size blank modules improve installation flexibility and safety. The enclosure is fully compliant with BS 7671:2018+A3:2024 wiring regulations.
