Timeguard TX1018 15 Way Populated Consumer Unit
The Timeguard TX1018 15 Way Populated Consumer Unit forms part of Timeguard’s circuit protection range and is designed for domestic new-build installations and consumer unit replacements during refurbishment or upgrade works. It is supplied fully populated with a 100A double-pole main switch, a single-module Type 2 surge protection device (SPD), 10 factory-fitted RCBOs (Type A Curve B), and 5 blank modules, providing a ready-to-install solution that reduces installation time on site.
This consumer unit provides 15 usable ways, with protection delivered via individual RCBOs on each outgoing circuit. The factory-fitted RCBO configuration comprises 1 × 40A, 4 × 32A, 2 × 16A and 3 × 6A RCBOs, supporting typical domestic circuit layouts. Individual RCBO protection improves fault discrimination, reduces nuisance tripping and simplifies fault finding compared with shared RCD arrangements.
The 100A main switch is positioned on the left-hand side of the enclosure, following Timeguard’s standard layout and providing a familiar wiring orientation for installers.
Housed in a robust surface-mounted steel enclosure with a curved, lockable visor, the unit features large rectangular rear cable entries supplied with grommets, along with conduit entry points on the top, bottom and sides. A raised removable DIN rail allows cables to pass underneath, while the floating busbar with pre-fitted cover improves installation flexibility and safety. The enclosure is compliant with BS 7671:2018+A3:2024 wiring regulations.
