The EarthFix STORM M20S Cable Gland from SWA provides a fast and secure solution for terminating SWA armoured, non-armoured, SY and CY braided cables. Combining the proven STORM gland design with SWA’s EarthFix earthing solution, ESTORM20S is designed to simplify professional cable termination while maintaining dependable IP68 protection.
The EStorm configuration uses EarthFix to provide a more convenient earthing connection method than the traditional separate earth tag and locknut arrangement. Together with the shroud-free STORM design, this helps reduce installation components and fitting time.

IP68 STORM Gland Construction
The STORM gland upper and lower bodies are manufactured from PA66 reinforced with 30% glass fibre, with a brass armour ring and NBR gasket and O-rings. This construction provides secure cable retention while supporting the gland’s IP68 environmental sealing.
The SWA STORM range has been tested in accordance with BS EN 62444 for cable glands used in electrical installations, including testing for impact resistance, anchorage, electrical performance, ingress protection, operating temperature and reaction to fire.
EarthFix Earthing for M20S Installations
The EarthFix STORM M20S Cable Gland provides an alternative to the traditional earth tag and locknut arrangement.
