The Live Electrical CB310D 3 Pole 10A D Curve 10kA MCB is a bi-directional miniature circuit breaker designed for three-phase AC distribution systems. With a 10A current rating and 10kA breaking capacity, it provides overload and short-circuit protection for appropriately designed circuits where equipment may experience high starting currents.
Features and applications
The CB310D features a D curve tripping characteristic, allowing greater tolerance of short-duration inrush currents compared with B and C curve breakers. This makes it a potential choice for selected three-phase control circuits, small motors and transformers where higher magnetic tripping thresholds are required.
Its three-pole configuration allows linked switching of all three phases, with a compact 54mm width occupying three standard DIN rail modules. Designed for 230/400V AC systems, the breaker fits a 35mm DIN rail and offers IP20 protection. The circuit’s fault levels, cable characteristics and required disconnection times must be considered when selecting a D curve MCB.
