Large Capacity Maintenance Free Junction Box
The Connexbox XL Junction Box is the largest and most capable enclosure in the Connexbox range, purpose designed for installations that require additional space, clear cable organisation and maximum connection flexibility.
Ideal for both single high-capacity circuits and installations containing two separately supplied circuits, the Connexbox XL provides a spacious internal layout that helps electricians position cables and connectors neatly without unnecessary squeezing or rearranging. This makes complex terminations easier to manage while helping produce a clean and professional installation.
The enclosure is compatible with selected WAGO 221-4, 2273 and 2773 series connectors, allowing a wide variety of conductor arrangements to be accommodated. Reinforced cable entries and strong internal grippers help keep cables securely retained once installed.
When configured as a single circuit installation in accordance with the relevant BS 5733 maintenance-free requirements, the Connexbox XL can provide a maintenance-free connection suitable for locations where future access may be difficult, including lofts and ceiling voids.
The Connexbox XL is now supplied with a mounting button as standard. The included button provides a convenient fixing point for securing the enclosure to a suitable surface, helping installers achieve a neat and secure installation without needing to purchase the mounting component separately.

Mounting Button Included
The Connexbox XL is supplied complete with its mounting button. The button provides a practical method of securing the junction box to a suitable mounting surface and eliminates the need to purchase the mounting component separately.
This is particularly useful when positioning a large-capacity junction box inside lofts, accessible service areas and other locations where a secure and organised installation is required.
Maintenance Free Installation
The Connexbox XL can be used for maintenance-free single circuit connections when installed using the approved connector arrangements and in accordance with the relevant BS 5733 maintenance-free installation requirements.
- Maintenance-free when used with appropriate WAGO 222 and 773 connectors
- WAGO 221, 2273 and 2773 connectors can be used for maintenance-free applications with the appropriate adapters
- Required adapters are sold separately
- Installation must follow the applicable BS 5733 maintenance-free instructions
