The Live Electrical CB306D 3 Pole 6A D Curve 10kA MCB is a bi-directional miniature circuit breaker designed for suitable three-phase AC installations. Rated at 6A with a 10kA breaking capacity, it provides overload and short-circuit protection for lower-current circuits where equipment may produce high inrush currents during start-up.
Features and applications
The CB306D incorporates a D curve thermal-magnetic tripping characteristic, allowing higher instantaneous starting currents than equivalent B or C curve breakers. This makes it suitable for selected low-current industrial control systems, small transformers and equipment with significant inrush characteristics, subject to appropriate circuit design.
Its three-pole construction enables linked switching across three phases, while the 54mm-wide housing fits onto a standard 35mm DIN rail. Designed for 230/400V AC operation, the breaker features IP20 protection and a 10kA rated breaking capacity. As D curve devices require higher fault currents for instantaneous operation, earth fault loop impedance and disconnection times must be verified before installation.
