The Live Electrical CB350B 3 Pole 50A B Curve 10kA MCB is a bi-directional miniature circuit breaker designed for low-voltage three-phase AC distribution systems. With a 50A current rating and 10kA breaking capacity, this device provides overload and short-circuit protection for suitable commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Features and applications
The CB350B uses a B curve thermal-magnetic tripping characteristic, which is generally suited to circuits with relatively low inrush currents. Its instantaneous magnetic trip range of approximately three to five times the rated current makes it an option for resistive loads and other appropriately designed circuits that do not require the higher starting current tolerance of C or D curve breakers.
Designed for three-phase distribution, this MCB features three mechanically linked poles for simultaneous switching. Its compact 54mm-wide housing occupies three standard DIN rail modules and mounts onto a 35mm DIN rail within suitable distribution equipment.
Operating at 230/400V AC, the CB350B features IP20 protection and conforms to BS IEC/EN 60898. The installation design must account for cable current-carrying capacity, prospective fault current, earth fault loop impedance and protective device coordination.
