The Live Electrical CB310B 3 Pole 10A B Curve 10kA MCB is a bi-directional miniature circuit breaker designed for suitable three-phase AC distribution systems. Rated at 10A with a 10kA breaking capacity, it provides overload and short-circuit protection for commercial and industrial circuits requiring a B curve tripping characteristic.
Features and applications
The CB310B incorporates a B curve thermal-magnetic tripping mechanism, with instantaneous magnetic operation typically occurring between three and five times the rated current. This makes it particularly suitable for lower-current circuits with minimal starting surges, including selected resistive equipment and three-phase control applications.
Its three-pole construction provides linked switching across all three phases, allowing simultaneous circuit disconnection. The 54mm-wide housing occupies three standard DIN rail modules and installs onto a 35mm DIN rail within compatible electrical distribution equipment.
Designed for 230/400V AC operation, the CB310B features IP20 protection and meets BS IEC/EN 60898 requirements. Appropriate circuit design must account for cable current-carrying capacity, prospective fault current and required disconnection times.
