The Live Electrical CB310C 3 Pole 10A C Curve 10kA MCB is a bi-directional miniature circuit breaker designed for suitable three-phase AC distribution systems. Combining a 10A current rating with a 10kA breaking capacity, it provides overload and short-circuit protection for commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Features and applications
The CB310C features a C curve thermal-magnetic tripping characteristic, making it suitable for circuits where moderate starting currents are expected. Its instantaneous magnetic trip range is typically five to ten times the rated current, offering greater tolerance of short-duration inrush currents than an equivalent B curve breaker.
Potential applications include appropriately designed three-phase control circuits, small motors, transformers and other inductive equipment. The three-pole configuration provides linked switching across all three phases, while the 54mm-wide housing occupies three standard DIN rail modules.
Designed for 230/400V AC operation, the breaker mounts onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and features IP20 protection. Selection should account for cable current-carrying capacity, prospective fault current, earth fault loop impedance and required disconnection times.
