7 Way Main Switch SPD Consumer Unit with RCBOs and Tails Gland
The Niglon PCU1008M SPD consumer unit kit is a compact, installer-ready solution supplied with 5 Niglon 6kA bi-directional Type A RCBOs, a 100A twin screw main switch, a direct busbar Type 2 SPD and an included meter tails gland. Designed for smaller domestic installations and upgrades, the kit combines individual circuit protection and surge protection in one complete package.
Based on the Protego range, the Niglon PCU1008M SPD consumer unit kit provides 7 usable ways within a 10-module metal enclosure. Two solid blanks are included for unused ways, while the supplied meter tails gland provides a neat incoming cable entry.
Important – RCBO Selection and Default Configuration
This kit is supplied with our standard selection of 5 Niglon 6kA bi-directional Type A Curve B RCBOs unless you request a different amperage combination.
If you require different RCBO ratings, please add your required combination to the order notes at checkout, send us a WhatsApp message with your order number, or email your requirements immediately after ordering.
If no alternative RCBO requirements are received, the default configuration shown below will be dispatched.
Default RCBO Configuration
- 2 × B6A Type A Bi-Directional RCBOs
- 1 × B20A Type A Bi-Directional RCBO
- 2 × B32A Type A Bi-Directional RCBOs
Alternative bi-directional RCBO ratings of 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 32A or 40A can be requested, subject to availability. Customers may change the amperage mix, but this product is supplied with bi-directional RCBOs only.

Product Overview
The Niglon PCU1008M SPD consumer unit kit features a 10-module metal enclosure with 7 usable ways. It includes a 100A double pole twin screw main switch and a Type 2 SPD that connects directly to the busbar without requiring an additional MCB.
Five bi-directional Type A RCBOs provide individual overload, short-circuit and residual current protection. The kit is supplied with our standard RCBO amperage mix unless an alternative combination is requested when ordering.
