The Timeguard TX2610C 10A Type A AFDD RCBO is a combined Arc Fault Detection Device and residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection, designed to provide enhanced fire and electric shock protection in modern electrical installations.
Rated at 10A with a Type A residual current characteristic and 30mA sensitivity, this AFDD RCBO provides protection against AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The C curve tripping characteristic makes it suitable for domestic and light commercial circuits, supporting reliable protection and effective fault discrimination, particularly where higher inrush currents are present.
In addition to standard RCBO protection, integrated AFDD technology continuously monitors for dangerous serial and parallel arc faults caused by damaged cables, loose connections or insulation breakdown, helping to significantly reduce the risk of electrical fires.
The device features a single pole with switched neutral (1P+SwN) design in a single-module width, allowing high circuit density within consumer units. It mounts onto a standard 35mm DIN rail and can be removed without disturbing the busbar, simplifying installation and maintenance.
With a 6kA short-circuit breaking capacity, the unit provides protection against earth faults, leakage current, short circuits and overloads. Terminals include an automatic blanking plate to prevent incorrect termination. The device complies with BS EN 61009-1, BS EN 62606 and BS EN 61543.
