TheHager VMES02SPD Consumer Unit SPD is a compact single-module Type 2 surge protection device designed specifically for Hager consumer units. It mounts directly on the busbar, can be installed in any outgoing position on a compatible 100A RCBO main switch board, and requires no separate backup MCB, saving valuable space and installation time while helping domestic installations meet BS 7671 18th Edition requirements.

Compatibility & Installation Notes
- Designed for Hager single-phase residential consumer units; fit on the high-integrity side of
a dual RCD consumer unit where applicable. - Line connection is via the busbar; neutral and earth are connected using 6 mm² cable links
to the neutral and earth bars. - Suitable for CT2 connection as per BS 7671 18th Edition, Section 534.
- Unplug the SPD cartridge before performing insulation resistance testing to avoid inaccurate readings.
- Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent electrician in accordance
with current wiring regulations.
