Description

Essential Protection with Type A 100A 100mA RCD

Fusebox RTA1001002

The FuseBox RTA1001002 is a robust Type A 100A 100mA RCD, offering dependable protection against residual current faults in domestic and commercial setups. This two pole RCD detects AC and pulsating DC leakage, helping to prevent electric shocks and fires by isolating circuits when leakage occurs.

🔍 Key Features – Medium Sensitivity, Wide Application

  • Rated current: 100A
  • Sensitivity: 100mA (Medium Sensitivity RCD)
  • Type A – Detects AC & pulsating DC residual currents
  • 2 Pole switching (L + N)
  • DIN rail mount
  • IP20 rated, 230V, 50/60Hz
  • Complies with BS EN 61008-1

✅ When to Use a 100A 100mA RCD?

This high amperage RCD is intended for applications where 30mA sensitivity is not required, in accordance with Regulation 415.1 of BS 7671. It provides disconnection in the event of residual current faults without delay, making it suitable for additional protection where personal protection is not the primary requirement. Unlike selective (S-type) RCDs, this unit trips immediately, offering general circuit protection compliant with current standards.

🔁 Compare with Selective Protection – 100A Type A S-Type RCD

Need a delayed-action RCD for discrimination between devices? See the FuseBox RTA1001002S – 2 Pole 100A 100mA Type A Selective RCD for time-delayed fault protection in line with BS 7671 Regulation 536.4.1.4. This S-type RCD ensures upstream devices remain active during downstream faults.
