Driver Selection Guidance
Tip: Although this is a 40m reel, LED strips should not be powered as one continuous run.
- For single-ended feeds: max 10m
- For double-ended feeds: max 20m
To choose the right driver size:
Multiply the length you plan to cut by the wattage per metre (9W) and add ~20% safety allowance.
Example:
For a 5m installation → 5m × 9W = 45W + 20% = ~54W driver recommended.
For a 10m run → 10m × 9W = 90W + 20% = ~108W driver.
Use non-dimmable 24V drivers for standard setups, or DALI / 0-10V / mains dimmable drivers for integrated control systems.
