The Aico Ei168RC RadioLINK Base is an easi-fit mounting plate with built-in RadioLINK technology. It provides wireless interconnect between alarms, meaning that when one alarm triggers, all alarms in the system sound.
RadioLINK Technology
The Ei168RC operates on mains power with a rechargeable lithium cell back-up. It replaces the easi-fit base to enable alarms to have RadioLINK capabilities.
This base is compatible with the 140e Series alarms – Ei146e and Ei144e – ensuring seamless integration. Additionally, for the 160e Series and Multi-Sensor Fire Alarms, you can use the RadioLINK Module (Ei100MRF) directly in the alarm head to gain RadioLINK+ capabilities. After you install all the alarms, secure the RadioLINK system with a special House Coding function to prevent interference from other RF systems.
Interconnected Alarm System
The Aico Ei168RC RadioLINK Base allows you to easily expand an existing hard-wired interconnected system. A mixed wired and wireless system, often called a hybrid system, is simple to set up.
To start, fit one Ei168RC base to an alarm in the existing system and any new alarms with Ei168RC bases. Once installation is complete, House Code the alarms together into a system. Consequently, when any alarm, hard-wired or wireless, triggers, it will sound all the alarms in the system.
