Because these particular Protego configurations are not supplied by Niglon as standard factory-packaged SPD consumer units, Electrical4Less combines the original Niglon board with the compatible NSA2-240 Type 2 SPD and a meter tails gland.

The NSA2-240 connects directly to the busbar in the specified arrangement without requiring an additional MCB. However, the SPD itself occupies one outgoing module position.

For example, a standard 12-way Protego consumer unit provides 11 usable outgoing ways once the single-module SPD is installed. Similarly, a standard 24-way Protego board provides 23 usable outgoing ways with the SPD fitted.

This is why Electrical4Less SPD combination listings may specify one fewer usable way than the original Niglon consumer unit datasheet.

These Electrical4Less combination SKUs use genuine Niglon components and provide a convenient way of purchasing the consumer unit, compatible SPD and meter tails gland together. Outgoing RCBOs are sold separately unless the product is specifically described as a populated kit.

Niglon RCBO Consumer Unit Kits
