Cooker & Oven Cable Suitability – H07RN-F 3 Core 6mm
The H07RN-F 6mm² cable is sometimes used for large integrated cookers and hobs above 32A. It offers excellent heat resistance and capacity for higher-demand appliances.
⚠️ Note: This size has an outer diameter of around 18mm, which can make it difficult to pull through standard cable entries, glands, or cooker connection units. Choosing 6mm “just in case” instead of 4mm may lead to installation difficulties if the appliance terminals cannot accept it. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions and comply with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
