Hager ARC982U AFDD MCB with ARC Protect Detection Type C 32A

Hager Arc-Fault Detection Devices are a new fire prevention modules. Each modules combines MCB overcurrent protective device and Arc Protection.

Designed to identify electrical arcing within cabling, both parallel and series, caused by trapped, damaged or crushed cables or poor termination, rodent damage or general deterioration.

Microprocessors within the device continually analyse the circuit and very quickly shut down if an arc is detected, before they can cause a fire within your property.

With a new regulation recommending installation of these devices in a number of AC circuits, it is likely that these AFDD devices will become mandatory in the near future, so now is the perfect time to consider getting ahead of the curve with regard to safety and future-proofing your Circuit Protection.
